SPRAVATO® TREATMENT AT COMPASS OF HOPE IN HOOKSETT & HAMPTON, NH
What is SPRAVATO®?
SPRAVATO® (esketamine) is a prescription nasal spray used to treat certain forms of depression in adults. Unlike traditional antidepressants, SPRAVATO® works on the brain's glutamate system and is designed to provide a different treatment approach for people whose depression has not improved enough with other treatments.
SPRAVATO® is administered in a healthcare setting under the supervision of trained professionals. Because treatment can cause temporary effects such as sedation, dizziness, dissociation, and increases in blood pressure, patients are monitored after each dose and must arrange transportation home.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your psychiatric provider will review your symptoms, treatment history, medical history, current medications, and overall health to determine whether SPRAVATO® may be an appropriate option for you.
