Ketamine & Spravato®: Innovative Care When Other Treatments Haven’t Worked

At Compass of Hope Counseling, we offer Spravato® & Ketamine as a breakthrough treatment option for adults struggling with depression, postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, adjustment disorder, bipolar depression, PTSD, CPTSD and suicidal ideation. Spravato® is an FDA-approved nasal spray that provides fast-acting relief for depression. Both treatment options are administered in a safe, supportive, and medically supervised setting.

Spravato® & Ketamine can bring hope and healing when other medications haven’t been enough. If you or someone you care about has tried two or more treatments without success, Spravato® or Ketamine may be the next step forward.

What is SPRAVATO®?

Spravato® is a prescription nasal spray made with es-ketamine, a fast-acting form of ketamine. Unlike oral antidepressants that can take weeks to build up in the system, Spravato begins working quickly—often within hours or days—by targeting the brain’s glutamate system to restore synaptic connections impacted by depression.

It is only available through REMS certified healthcare providers and must be administered and monitored in-office.

Spravato® is FDA-approved for:

  • Treatment-resistant depression (TRD) in adults
  • Depressive symptoms in adults with MDD and suicidal ideation

How SPRAVATO® Treatment Works

A woman wearing glasses is smiling in front of a city street.
  1. Initial Consultation: Spravato® is covered by most insurances. Ketamine treatment is self pay, affordable at $100 a month for the medication. We evaluate your symptoms, medical history, and determine eligibility.
  2. Insurance Prior Authorization: Required for Spravato® treatment only. Self-pay patients can proceed immediately.
  3. In-Office Treatment: Administered intranasally by our licensed staff. Patients relax in a quiet, dimly lit room.
  4. Monitoring & Recovery: You’ll be supervised for 2 hours post-treatment. You must have a ride home and should not drive the rest of the day.
  5. Ongoing Care Plan: Treatment is typically:

  • Twice weekly for the first 4 weeks
  • Once weekly during weeks 5–8
  • Followed by a maintenance plan based on your needs

Therapy is strongly encouraged alongside Spravato® & Ketamine treatment for optimal, lasting results.
