We Offer Clinical Spravato (Es-Ketamine) Treatment in New Hampshire
Innovative Relief for Treatment-Resistant Depression & Suicidal Thoughts
At Compass of Hope Counseling, we offer Spravato® (es-ketamine) as a breakthrough treatment option for adults struggling with major depressive disorder (MDD) that hasn’t responded to traditional antidepressants or who experience suicidal thoughts. This FDA-approved nasal spray offers fast-acting relief and is administered in a safe, supportive, medically supervised setting.
Spravato can bring hope and healing when other medications haven’t been enough. If you or someone you care about has tried two or more medications without success, Spravato may be the next step forward.
What is SPRAVATO?
Spravato is a prescription nasal spray made with es-ketamine, a fast-acting form of ketamine. Unlike oral antidepressants that can take weeks to build up in the system, Spravato begins working quickly—often within hours or days—by targeting the brain’s glutamate system to restore synaptic connections impacted by depression.
It is only available through certified healthcare providers and must be administered and monitored in-office.
Spravato is FDA-approved for:
- Treatment-resistant depression (TRD) in adults
- Depressive symptoms in adults with MDD and suicidal ideation
Who is a Candidate?
You may be eligible for Spravato treatment if you:
- Have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder
- Have tried at least two antidepressants without adequate relief
- Experienced suicidal thoughts or severe symtpoms impacting daily functioning
- Are medically and psychiatrically appropriate for ketamine treatment
Your first step is a 60-minute psychiatric intake appointment to determine your eligibility
and ensure Spravato is a safe option for you.
How SPRAVATO Treatment Works

- Initial Consultation: Covered by most insurances. We evaluate your symptoms, medical history, and determine eligibility.
- Insurance Prior Authorization: Required by most plans. Self-pay patients can proceed immediately.
- In-Office Treatment: Administered intranasally by our licensed staff. Patients relax in a quiet, dimly lit room.
- Monitoring & Recovery: You’ll be supervised for 2 hours post-treatment. You must have a ride home and should not drive the rest of the day.
- Ongoing Care Plan: Treatment is typically:
- Twice weekly for the first 4 weeks
- Once weekly or biweekly during weeks 5–8
- Followed by a maintenance plan based on your needs
Therapy is strongly encouraged alongside Spravato for optimal, lasting results.
