Psychiatric Weight Management: Are Wegovy, Zepbound or Other GLP-1 Treatments Right for You?
A Whole-Person Approach to Weight, Eating & Emotional Health
Weight concerns are about more than just numbers on a scale. At Compass of Hope, we offer compassionate, medically supervised weight management services that take into account your mental, emotional, and physical health.
Whether you're struggling with binge eating, obesity, emotional eating, or weight gain related to psychiatric medications, our team provides judgment-free care using evidence-based medications, behavioral tools, and referrals to registered dieticians (RDs) for nutrional counseling.
Medications Options
Our providers offer both oral and injectable weight loss options:
GLP-1 Medications (Weekly Injections)
- Ozempic®
- Wegovy®
- Zepbound™
The medication cost is out of pocket, but the provider visits can be billed to insurance.
Oral Medications:
- Generic and affordable appetite suppressants or metabolic boosters

All medications are prescribed and monitored by a licensed psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with experience in both mental and metabolic health.

Nutrition & Lifestyle Support
Medication alone isn't a long-term solution - that’s why we offer referrals to registered dietitians for nutrition counseling and strongly recommend behavioral health therapy. Our goal is to empower you to feel more connected to your body and more in control of your health—without shame.
Our Process

- Initial Evaluation (60 mins) We assess medical history, mental health, current habits, and goals.
- Personalized Plan Together, we decide on a course of action: medication, coaching, or a combined approach.
- Follow-Ups & Adjustments Biweekly visits to monitor progress, manage side effects, and update your care plan.
- Therapy Integration
If disordered eating is a concern, we strongly encourage therapy alongside medication.
Insurance & Payment Information
- Most major insurances accepted for visits
- GLP-1 medications are out-of-pocket; we work to keep costs manageable
