Matthew Stone is a licensed psychologist who has been practicing since 2013. Originally from the North Shore of Massachusetts, he earned his undergraduate degree in biopsychology from Tufts University and later completed his doctorate in clinical psychology at John F. Kennedy University in California.
Dr. Stone specializes in child, adolescent, and family therapy, with a particular focus on the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. He is highly trained in trauma-focused care and also works extensively with individuals struggling with major depression, mood disorders, and serious childhood behavior challenges.
Dr. Stone provides neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic evaluations, including specialized assessments for autism spectrum disorder and ADHD. His clinical orientation is rooted in attachment theory and trauma-informed care, integrating current neuropsychological research and developments in mental health science. His approach to therapy emphasizes a strengths-based, collaborative approach with families, drawing on a wide range of evidence-based treatments. He often corporates play and art therapy alongside cognitive-behavioral and attachment-focused interventions.
