Treating across the lifespan

David is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to patients across the lifespan. Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, David spent more than 12 years working in emergency medicine, where he developed a deep appreciation for treating every patient with empathy, respect, and dignity during some of life's most challenging moments.

David believes that exceptional psychiatric care begins with listening. He understands that seeking treatment can feel overwhelming and is committed to creating a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and actively participating in treatment decisions. He believes that successful outcomes are built on trust, collaboration, and individualized care.

David completed his graduate training with extensive outpatient psychiatric clinical experience caring for children, adolescents, and adults. He has experience evaluating and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other mental health conditions. His practice focuses on comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, evidence-based medication management, and ongoing assessment to help patients achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in their mental health.

In addition to providing medication management, David oversees Compass of Hope's Spravato® (esketamine) and ketamine treatment programs, working closely with patients to ensure these innovative therapies are delivered safely, effectively, and in accordance with current clinical guidelines. He is passionate about expanding access to advanced treatment options for individuals living with treatment-resistant depression and other complex psychiatric conditions.

As a provider at Compass of Hope, David is committed to lifelong learning and staying current with advances in psychiatric medicine. He is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and believes every individual deserves to feel respected, supported, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.
