Marie Davis
Student Intern,CMHC
Marie is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) intern who offers a compassionate, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. She believes therapy should be a safe space where individuals are truly seen without judgment or pressure. Clients often describe Marie as easy to talk to, relatable, and genuinely invested in their growth.
Marie’s counseling style is person-centered and collaborative. She meets clients where they are and gently guides the therapeutic process through reflection, skill-building, and curiosity. Marie draws from a blend of evidence-based approaches, including but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness techniques, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), tailoring each session to her client’s unique needs and goals.
She works with individuals navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, life transitions, relationship stress, and identity exploration and development. Whether someone is processing the past or adjusting to current life changes, she helps clients build insight, confidence, and coping skills that support meaningful, lasting change.
Before stepping into clinical practice, Marie spent over 15 years in people development, supporting others in growth, leadership, and resilience. Marie shows up with empathy, curiosity, and a deep belief in her client’s potential. She is especially attuned to family dynamics, emotional regulation, boundary setting, and the desire many individuals have to reconnect with themselves.
Marie’s approach blends practical, evidence-based strategies with emotional depth, creating a space for real, supportive connection. She considers it a privilege to support and walk alongside clients throughout their healing journey.
