Abigail Martin
MSW
Abigail is a pre-licensed social worker who employs person-centered, neurodiversity-affirming, play-based techniques to assist clients in coping with challenging life events, processing past trauma, and navigating a path forward. With specialized training in relational interventions and play therapy, she frequently incorporates mindfulness exercises, emotional regulation, and play into therapy sessions when appropriate and beneficial. She believes in each individual’s innate wisdom and resilience, striving to reflect these qualities in her sessions.
Her goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore new ways of being and discard old patterns that are no longer helpful. Abigail is committed to helping clients find confidence that they are the experts of their stories. She specializes in working with neurodivergent children and adolescents and is trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), play therapy techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) techniques. My professional background includes experience in community mental health and at a school dedicated to children with special needs and diverse abilities.
