I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner that works with children and adults using an evidence-based approach to recommend approved and appropriate psychiatric medications that help to improve bothersome mental health symptoms. I bring over 25 years of nursing experience from medical settings, psychiatric hospitals, and women in residential treatment for substance use disorders, eating disorders, trauma, and co-occurring medical and mental health issues. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I have worked with detox patients, and children and adults suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, attention deficit disorders, trauma, substance use issues, and many other mental health symptoms.

My goal is to work with individuals together, as a team, to address barriers that may be interfering with the ability to function in daily life. I promote a quiet, soothing, relaxed environment to promote conversation and rapport. During initial visits, we will review medical issues, current and past medications, and previous mental health treatment. I will focus on symptoms versus diagnoses. I prefer to avoid labels, as we are all individuals doing the best that we can do, and a mental health diagnosis does not describe, define, or restrict our potential. I welcome all who are seeking help with becoming the best that they can be.
